What color eyeshadow to wear with a maroon dress?

Matching your makeup to your clothing is tacky, other than a simple rule I like to follow of wearing brown eyeliner with brown clothes and other natural colors (like shades of green and tan) and black eyeliner with everything else.

While you obviously don't want to make anything clash, you should always choose makeup that enhances your natural beauty, not what matches your clothing. Brown tones enhance blue eyes, blue tones enhance brown eyes, purples enhance green, etc. Look at those eye enhancers by Maybeline. The same idea goes for blusher and lipstick. You enhance your natural beauty.

Of course, you can stray from those when you want a funkier look, but the same basic concept remains.

So if you have blue eyes, I would recomend darker colors that COMPLIMENT your dress that are in the natural color palette with brown. Brown itself would be the best choice, I think, though green is the natural compliment of red (maroon is a form of red) so a dark earthy green would look nice as well. If you have brown eyes, I would choose a brown that has a hint of dusty blue in it.What color eyeshadow to wear with a maroon dress?
probably something in either the cream/gold hues with a liquid black liner... OR if u want more coloring, perhaps a light dusting of pink shadow w/ some darker pink at the crease. good luckWhat color eyeshadow to wear with a maroon dress?
bronze would work for anyone ... but a an opulent green with a blended white color would look gorgeous..
what color shadow do you usually wear. Its not a good idea to match your make up color to dress. Maybe a golden cocoa brown would look nice though.
dark or light depending on you but sliver. i would use shimmer
I would wear colors that match my complexion. The point of make up is to make it look totally natural!! Try a medium color on ur eye lid..a darked color in the middle..and a light color on top right up next to your eyebrow!
maroon! but not too much. mathing is really nice. brown would go with it too. or of course, black. go for the smoky eyed effect.
m'mm Bronze, Golde, or just black eye liner .
Dark brown or cocoa.
Flicky eyeliner with clear lipgloss and cream sparkle powder on the lids. Perfect!
brown and sparklie
browns,,whites
Deep bronze shimmer would look great, but I think any warm toned neutral would look best, what shade it is depends on your skin tone and what color lipstick/gloss you want to wear!
There is nothing as beautiful as a woman without makeup.
Maroon colored then! It'll be just on the crease of your eye. Either that, or a dark Magenta, dark brown, anything completely dark. It'll look sexy and fabulous!

Best of luck sweetie!
I would wear grey on the lid of the eye and a accent maroon or redish shadow on the crease of the eye! If your more into one color then I would go with a shimmery light grey.
charcoal grey in the outside corners, mauve on the lower lid
dark brown, bronze
Sort of an in-between grey or light black.
Well, it depends on what the color of your skin is.... But maroon dress would look good with a blue eyeshadow-- but that's up to you wheter or not you want to bring attention to your eyes. One last thing: never put same color eyeshadow and dress :0
