Whats a good eyeshadow color with a black dress.?

for my prom i am wearing a black dress with black beads on it. i have black hair and eyes also so what color eyeshadow should i wear with it? ty

probably like a goldish brownish that almost fits your skin tone.
Silver would look great, or a shade of light gray. You could always pull off a dark brown if it wasn't too prominent when your eyes are open..
black, DARK brown, or white...silver might work too!
Okay you should do either a dark purple or sort-of dark olive kind tin green.
go with dark browns. black is almost to severe; you want something more natural just around the eyes. drak browns would work.

You can blend black and silver and line ur eyes w/ black liner. put black where ur lashes are then make it gradually blend into silver

After looking at your picture and as a makeup artist, I would recommend doing a silver and a navy blue. The navy will be your accent color and it will mix beautifully with the silver. It will create a smoky eye, but one that is not too sultry, and age appropriate. For your lips, do a simple color. I'd put a light pink gloss on you and a light peachy/pink for your blush. You'll look amazing! PS: You can also wet most eye shadows and use the navy blue as a liner too. Knock 'em dead!
Choose a color related to your skin tone. Example, if your skin to is more warm toned, a copper or golden bronze would be beautiful. If you have cool tones go with a cooler colored shadow ...blue, lavender or purple tones would be lovely. If you work with colors that compliment your skin tones it will bring out your eyes. i dont think woman need makeup. there beautiful as it is. in my opinion it covers up the beauty underneath.

Well since you are wearing black, you could do the smokey eye look with a dab of black in the outer corners, that would be the sophisticated look.


However since it is prom and your are young, I suggest a shimmery eye shadow and a shimmer lip gloss, this would be the cute look.


You can also choose a bright eye shadow color completely different and make your eyes the center of attention. Try L'oreal Hip High Intensity pigments. I usually blend the different colors one on the inside the other on the outside. Just mess around with different combinations till you find one you like.
